Today was our last day in Swakopmund. Early in the morning we left for sand boarding. We went down the sand dunes standing up on what looks like a snowboard and lying down on wooden boards. It was so much fun. We reached speeds of 69 and 70 km when lying down on the board. In the afternoon, we went skydiving: the activity Ive been dreading all week. Im extremely scared of heights and here we drop 10,000 feet from a plane. I went second to get it over with. It was 35 seconds of free falling before they open up the parachute. once the parachute opened, I was able to take in and appreciate the amazing birds eye view. there was ocean on one side and desert and sand dunes on the other. it was beautiful. Im so glad I did it , I definitely would've regretted not doing it .Afterwards we ate dinner at a fancy seafood restaurant on the pier over the ocean.
