Bonnie's Travels
On the way to the next campsite located in twylefontain, we met a Tribe called the Himbas. The females had red skin, and did not wear much clothes. This smooth red skin is achieved by applying red okra powder all over their bodies. they use a small piece of leather made from cows or sheep to cover up. They made their living by selling hand-made jewellery made from raw materials such as ostrich eggs. In the late afternoon, we visited the living museum where the Damara tribe taught us about medicine/herbs, jewellery making, games, how they make fire and their lifestyle.
