We spent a lovely day in the rain exploring Paris. Started at Notre Dame & Pont Neuf, the zero point for all measurement in France. Then planned on seeing St. Chapelle & it's wonderful stained glass windows, but found it closes between 1 & 2:30. So, we diverted to Musee d'Orsay to see the Impressionists & Van Gogh plus many others. The Museum Pass was wonderful for this-- no wait to enter & no ticket line!
Went back to St. Chapelle after & the windows are in fact incredible! The pix above of the rose window cannot capture the size or colors. One wall of seven windows is under renovation, a three year project to finish this year.
Then to the Eiffel Tower, up the elevator to the mid-section & lots of photo ops. Decided to try to walk back to our hotel & had a wonderful meal at a local cafe.
An altogether fantastic day! Bon soir!

P Sorry about all the rain. Your plan "B" seems to be wonderful as well.
Shelley Ted and I know what it's like to have rain in Paris. Glad you saw the d'Orsay, certainly our favorite. Isn't the Eiffel Tower fabulous at night? Love the light show on the hour.
