Decided to not go to Melbourne as we didnt want to be in a city.....so off to Ballarat......an old gold mining town famous fir the 1800's gold rush....and the Eureka stockade.....
A good choice....the gold rush story is so engaging... but first stop was the wildlife park which on a dull showery day was perfect....not many folk around and so much time to engage with the animals which were loose and wandering around....lots of skippys were very inquisitive.........

The following day we spent at the gold museum and taking in the ' gold rush" at ballarat....we had a thoroughly entertaining day, arrived back worn out as we walked solidly for hours both days.

Today we are at one of melbournes airport hotels.....about to embark tomorrow to New Zealand and then the French Polynesian islands Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora....

Be sad to wave byesey bye to Australia.......I think we may have one more trip left in us to come back again....
