We were all really tired today after our late night in the Casco Viejo last night. We headed first to San Sebastian (for coffee and croissants in a Park and Ride car park) and then on to Biarritz (to gawk at the humungous waves that people were surfing and squeeze Bob through the cosiest-fitting tunnel yet) before finally parking up just outside Bourdeaux for the night.

We went to Bilbao and we went in the maritime museum. In the playmobile scenes we had to find the mouse. We went on a boat and met someone who was travelling round the world. We went to the Guggenheim and on a brilliant playground. Then we went to the seven streets to have dinner. WORDS AND PHOTO BY DANIEL

After parking at the bull ring we headed straight to the old town to see the mightily impressive Roman aquaduct (built around 2000 years ago) and then headed up to the Cathedral and the Alcazar (via Ale-Hop obviously) to be amazed, once again, by the stunning architecture and views. From the Alcazar we headed back to town via the Segovia Mint and a riverside walk to appreciate the town again by night before heading back for pizza in Bob. Hoping not to be woken ...

Started off the day getting the tourist train (that sleeps at the campsite) to the train station stopping for petrol on the way which amused the children a lot! Once in Madrid we headed to the "Museo del Prado" which is one of the world's premier art galleries with over 7000 paintings. We had a morning of school on the campsite and then headed off to the station in Aranjuez to get the train to Madrid. We headed first for the Bernabeu stadium to see where Real Madrid would be playing Borussia Dortmund later. I think we may be done with our tour of football stadiums now, as this was deemed "not very good really", especially compared to Valencia.
