Booked into Hotel Dona Isobel for an early start in the morning. Have to be at the airport for 0440 so decided to book into the hotel at 3pm. Had a walk along the street, couple of beers and some tostado, Chinese at 7pm then early to bed. Great start to our holiday.

Flight home was fairly uneventful until we reached LHR, picked up by driver to transfer us to LGW. Landed at 1030 and in the lounge at Gatwick, bags dropped off, checked in by 1220. Told at check in flight was on time, sadly it changed two or three times and finally we were an hour late departing. Arrive at Alicante at 2030 rather than 1930. Here we are on the start of our trip to the Carribean and the USA, away for a month so looking forward to it. We fly from Alicante to Madrid at 0700 and then onto Miami at 1150. Off to Dresden via Madrid and Berlin for Tommy and Kim's wedding. So looking forward to celebrating with them and also our 40th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday 13th Had a fantastic weekend at the beautiful Schloss Pillnitz. Lovely to meet up with all Tommy and Kim's family and friends. Then spent our 40th Wedding Anniversary on a boat on the Elbe and visiting Dresden. Flight out from Dubai 0735 heading for Madrid. At least it is an A380 so plenty of opportunity for a last holiday drink. Then a three hour wait and the connection to Alicante. Tuesday 29th March.
