Wow what a long day, up at 4am for the Alicante to Madrid leg. Quick change onto the flight to Buenos Aires. Arrived in Buenos Aires at 6pm local so a 13 hour flight. Then our pick up was an hour late due to a car crash on the airport motorway, so we finally reached the Hilton Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires at 8pm local so midnight in Spain. Got checked in then out to a local restaurant booked for dinner. La Parolaccia in Puerto Madero district, nice Italian restaurant where we also had our first bottle of Argentinian Malbec of the holiday. La Alambrado, nice plummy Malbec, first of many I hope. Nice gentle stroll back to the hotel. We saw this schooner on our way back, then off up to bed. Lesley was asleep in about 10 mins, me just writing the blog. Synopsis for tomorrow Sites of Buenos Aires, La Recoleta, Eva Perons Mausoleum then lunch. In the evening an Argentinian Tango show. 11pm here now so been awake 23 hours, should I stay awake one more hour to make it a full day? No as they say in the cartoons, “That’s all folks”
