Yellowstone is absolutly incredible. Maybe the best place we have ever visited. It is so hard to describe in words how amazing this place is and even the pictures don't do it justice. Took two days to drive all the way from Seattle to Bozeman, so we stopped for the night in a very small town just inside Montana called Saltese which had one bar (full of dead bears and lions) and one motel with five rooms (it cost $40 and had two TV channels). Seattle is very similar to Portland in that it is very laid back and has some very strange people, but on a much larger scale. Last stop in California was at the Redwood National park to look at some big trees. Very big, about 300ft and very old, up to 1000 years old. We even got to drive Louis through one which was a challange as he had about an inch to spare before destroying a tree which has lasted nearly 700 years!!!
