Hey Hey everybody!
I didnt write a blog for yesterday or the night before so I will try and make up for it in this one!!
On our last night in Bangkok Tom and I thought we would make it a big one! We were told that Patpong road was the best place to go. There was a huge market there, lots of bars and clubs all of which didnt have a drinking age this time thankfully! So we had a meal in one of the restaurants along the road frst, a few drinks and then hit the town!! We saw anonther live band who had an asian guy and girl and a black guy rapping and they sang loads of new english chart music which was frankly cracking! Every other metre there was someone who asked us if we wanted to see a ping-pong show but we resisted! So after a fun night we headed back for our last sleep in Bangkok.
We woke up early the next day and had breakfast and packed our bags. When we left the hotel we had no real idea of what we were going to do next! We left our bags at the hotel and took a walk around trying to decide our next move. We had most of the day until we knew a bus was leaving for Surat Thani at 5.00 so we just milled around until over strolled In with his promise for sightseeing in his tuk-tuk for 10 banht each! Obviously we decided it would be rude not too!
We went first to a Bhuddist temple which was very beautiful and had a look round. Then he took us on a bit of a tour where we just took photos. Then we agreed to go to a Travel Agent and talk about trips as he got 'free gasoline'... that old chesnut! they all try it on. But it all turned in our favour as we managed to book all our transport from Bangkok to the islands, onwards down to singapore including all buses, transfers and all boats! Plus accomodation for 14 nights for under 400 pounds. We thought it was a great help in terms of organisation as we had no idea to do and not too bad in terms of price. Had we done it ourselves, there woukld have been a lot of time and effort put in for not a huge amount less. We tried booking a hostel in Koh Samui befor we left but all of the budget ones were booked up so it was nice to know that with the Agency when we got there we had gauranteed rooms alreay paid for! So no more organising for us for the next 14 days!!
We have booked four nights in Koh Samui, 3 in Koh Phan-gan, 2 in Koh Tao, 2 in Krabi and 2 in Koh Phi-Phi so happy days on our front!!
We have already booked a whole days deep sea fishing trip and snorkelling trip for sunday for about 25 quid. Considering one in England costs around 65 its good times! We are also considering hiring a moped for tomorrow for 200 baht and day!! a mere 4 pounds! as Koh Samui is meant to be the safest place to do it as there isnt much traffic!
Our Hostel is right on the beach with beautiful clear and warm waters with restaurants and bars dotted all the way along the 300m beach we are in paradise!!
Hope everyone back home is well and keeping warm!!
Don'y worry its a toasty 37 degrees here but i am putting on lots of sun loation!!

Ben Hi mum, I sent you a text at around 11.00 Thai time so nearly 12 hours ago. My phone seems to have already run out of credit although I have no idea how and I can't top it up for some reason. I will ring the call centre tomorrow. Lots of love xxx
Richard Russell Howard would be disappointed that you did not go and see the old lady and her bird!
