Hello, hello, hello!

I have finally arrived in the land of big, scary people who shout a lot before they play rugby, yes It's New Zealand...

I had a dodgy time getting here and it kicked off before I even got to the airport when the airport shuttle didn't turn up until 4.15 when it was due at 3.30! Some rubbish about a flat tire or something...

I had to get up at 2.45 which was the worst thing ever, I got about 2 and a half hours sleep. Terrible times. I somehow managed to check in even though I couldn't see through the sleeping dust. Crawled to the gate and got on the plane just as boarding closed. Score.

It was two hours before landing in Brisbane then a transfer to the international terminal where I had a 20 minute wait before I got on the plane to Auckland. We had a two hour delay as some passengers from a flight from Singapore got delayed which was annoying. The flight was quick though, about 3.5 hours. Then through customs and out into the big bad world by myself!

I got a bus into the city after about 15mins which was 14 dollars and took about 30mins but I got to the hostel with ease and managed to get the last dorm bed in the whole hostel of which there are about 300 beds! My luck has turned!

As I said I got about 2 hours sleep so an early night for me ready to explore a bit tomorrow morning!
