Some things I've learned about Korea:

Having an alcoholic drink in Korea is very socially important. Most women drink rice wine while the men drink soju. However, this does vary with each individual. The first drink, everyone says "Kombe" and everyone finishes thei drink. After that, it is acceptable to"Kombe" and sip your drink. This is different in Taiwan because there, you finish your drink with each "Kompai."

Most families in Korea have two fridges, one for their kimchi and the other for all their other food.

When a Korean child is born, they are one year old as they consider the time in the womb as their first year.

Most children sleep in the same room as their parents until they are about fourteen or fifteen, (this does vary with each family).

It is illegal to make a phone call to North Korea. To make a call, you need special permission from the government.

Koreans eat dog but it is very special and I have to say it is delicious. It tastes like roast beef.

Old traditional Koreans used to eat very quietly or conservatively you might say when it comes to eating their food like we do in Canada but in modern Korea, many Koreans eat loudly by slurping their soup and chewing their food loudly.

Whenever you enter a Koreans house, they will offer you food right away not simply to be nice but because there was so much starvation during and after the Korean war, they think it is necessary. They never want to see war and starvation again.

There are so many other things I learned but this is just a few that I thought might interest my readers, (all 3 or 4 of you).
