A great day today!
The sun was out so Rob and I hit the mopeds and rode to Da Nang about 20km away from Hoi An where we visited China Beach which is approx 70km long.
We then went to Marble mountain where Buddahs, shrines and numerous carverns within the mountain have been turned into places of worship.
A monk kindly posed with us for photos and a little old lady showed us some of the highlights in the mountain by torch light.
Afterwards we rode on to Monkey Mountain where the roads curved upwards and around as we climbed higher.
The views were amazing from Monkey mountain.
A huge Buddah stands proudly overlooking Da Nang and a temple is open to visitors at the top of the mountain.
Rob rode the moped back to Hoi An and I rode on the bike with our guide.
What a fantastic experience!
In the afternoon we had chill time and looked around the shops for some local art and had a bite to eat at what became our favourite restaurant, the White lotus.
Hoi An is the city of Tailors and Rob was beckoned into a shop (all the shops beckon you in though this one said they could knock up a Tailor made suit in 2 hours!).
After being measured (no inside leg measurements here in Hoi An) we chose the material, style and lining and promised to return a little later.
In the end the tweaks to the suit took 90 mins more but for £55 Rob got a tailored suit and silk tie to match the lining. - bargain!
Overall a great time and another day full of wonderful memories.
Tomorrow we fly to Saigon.....
