Sawaadeecaa!!! Very possibly not supposed to be spelt like that but I have written it as I am supposed to say it and as all you ladies would, boys you have to say it differently and in the book it looks like your supposed to put crap on the end instead of caa but you don’t say it like that, ask Paul to say it to you when we get back. Oh it means Hello or just a greeting in general.
Ok so from when we left you last we were still in Phuket staying in Karong Beach, it was our last night so we went out to the Tiger Bar again and played games with the girls behind the bar, some German guy kept ringing the bell which means you buy a shot for everyone at the bar!!! He thought it was well funny so he sent about 6 shots to everyone!!! We left as we had to get up and sort out our stuff ready for our trip over to Ko Phi Phi Lai (Ko means island so it at the beginning of all the names obviously of islands.)
We got up had breaky and all that jazz. We had to wait around for ages, it was so hot we were trying to find a place in the shade just to cool down a little. Eventually this guy turns up and we jumped in (they drive like lunatics over here!!!) he drove us to the ferry port and we got straight on the ferry and we headed off for Ko Phi Phi Lai, it takes about 1.5 hours on the ferry. When you get there everyone is shouting at you where to stay, cheap rooms, taxi boat, boat boat. We found someone and we booked some rooms, Tom was going for more expensive we told him this just meant we would be hanging around in his room all the time. Our room was tiny, we had only cold water and bearly any room to fit our bags in but it was clean although if you shut the windows it smelt pretty bad!! We thought we would hit the beach and check out the streets later on. The beach had an Ibiza feel to it, it was crowded and full of younger people and there was a bar blaring music out. We got in the water and now word of a lie it was like bath water, it had a weird smell to it though which I didn’t like and you had to walk out sooo far it just didn’t get deep!! We decided to get ready for dinner and we went to a local Thai place, Thai food is so cheap it’s like 100 BAHT for dinner (that’s 2 pounds people!!), then we went to a bar that has a fire show on every night, Drew you would have fitted in here with your fire poi but they was wicked mate you need to do some practicing but they do lessons out there!!! Then we found another bar, I’m thinking some of you would love!!! It has a massive screen showing football then you have the bars then in the centre you have a ring, you can jump in and the ref will walk around with you seeing if you get a challenger then you fight!! You get a free bucket if you volunteer, Tom and Paul wanted me to go in but I just couldn’t bring myself to kick anyones ass in public like that!!! Tee hee Nah seriously some of these fights they proper go for it others may as well have gone in there and tickled each other. There were 2 lads in there it was round one and the guy in red went to throw a punch his left shoulder only popped out!!! ERGH the ref was straight in there and popped it back in fight over blue wins. 2 girls got in OMG this was hilarious!!! Bluey was soooo drunk she was swiging from a buckets in between rounds, before the bell even went she went bouncing across the ring and laid one on the girl in red twice she did this before round 1 and 2 the girl in red was ready to kill her she even took her gloves of at one point and we thought it was goin bear knuckle!!!! Ref called it a draw.
Day 2 we get on a sail boat and headed for Ko Phi Phi Dom this is where Maya Bay is where the filmed the beach. We started at Monkey Beach, we had to dive off the boat and swim to shore, there are just monkeys running around on this beach, you can feed them but they were more interesting in peoples bottles of water and Coca Cola they loved it!!! They were a little vicious though they chased one girl down the beach and another wanted to be monkey lady so she just sat there and let them come up and bite her and stuff!! Has she not heard of rabies!!! We swam back out to the boat and we headed round the island he was pointing stuff out like Viking cave and where they climb up to get these birds nests apparently they are worth more than their weight in gold, they would have to be if you saw what and how high they were climbing!! We got to a little cove and did some snorkeling, it was Toms first time he loved it though although he found an eel and was going to poke it, not the best thing to do to a purple Moray eel!!! We went to another little cove to snorkel across then we had to climb through this cave and walk through a wood and we were then on Maya Bay, yes we were on The Beach, AWESOME. We took loads of photos then jumped in for a swim we were lucky there wasn’t to many people there when we were. Tom and I were just about to have a photo when I got a handful of water and showed Tom I said “I think these are jellyfish” sure enough they were and we all started itching!!! Luckily they were to small to leave any marks or anything. We went back to the boat and we sailed in to Maya Bay so we could see it from another view. Then we went to another cave and some divers came up and said there was a turtle so we all jumped in, liars there was no turtle but there was some more of the darned Jellyfish!! We went somewhere else to watch the sunset which was amazing, then we headed back. Tom felt ill so he went straight to bed, me and Paul ate some stuff off a stall which tasted fab then went to bed ourselves.
We got a long boat over to Long Beach which was really nice and not so busy as the other beach which was nice. Then we got a boat back and we just chilled out, played some pool I won 5 games in a row get in!!!!
We leave Phi Phi for Krabi today. The ferry takes about the same amount of time, we get a pick up for our resort which was really quite nice we got air con and hot water!!! They gave us a map and showed us where the night markets were as we wanted to eat from them. We took a walk down saw the cutest kittens in a pet store I wanted to take them all home!! We had a Thai Green Curry tres spicey!!! Paul had to finish mine I think he is liking the fact I can’t finish my dinners!!
We only spent one night in Krabi, there wasn’t much to do there to be honest. We got a bus at 10.30 which was weird they had the loudest sound system, then we were told to get off as it was the last stop, then we were told we were in the wrong shop and someone turned up and took us to another shop, we had to wait here 1.5 hours for another bus to take us to the ferry which was an hour away, then the ferry took about 2 hours, then we get a cab to where we are staying which was brown and the sheets were covered in dust ERGH. It was like 9pm at this point so we headed out grabbed some food and went to bed, we slept in those sleep sacks mum bought us (good buy mum!!).
And I’ll leave it there as this is taking me ages to write up. So now we are in Ko Samui.
Hope y’all are well. Take Care, Love to all. M & P xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
