Hi!!!!

So the last few days have been pretty boring all in all!! We got our bus at 7:10am, Paul had some crazy lady sat next to him that talked for an hour straight, just random info about where we were, what her husbands fav dinner is and that peppermints make her throat feel better!!! The drive is quite amazing the place is stunning, waterfalls, snow capped mountains, forests, fields rivers it is amazing it's like a land before people got there. So we got to Fox's Glacier, the town is tiny and it's raining - HEAVY!! We ran to the shop got in some dinner and stuff our lunch on the ice climb, headed back tucked ourselves up for an early night for our early start. We got to the Glacier shop at 7:50 am as requested in the pouring rain only to be told it was cancelled due to weather, true we wouldn't have enjoyed it as much soaking wet so we rebooked for the next day changed our bus and next nights accomodation. We spent the day we absolutly nothing to do so we watched braveheart and read alot of magazines and books, Paul has actually read 4 books this trip 3 of them in the last 3 weeks!!!

Again the next day up early, we didn't think it would go ahead as it was still raining so we rang and they said we still had to come down before they would make a decision. CANCELLED, the woman wasn't much hope and just smiled saying well we just don't know if the rains going to stop!! so I spoke to a guide and explained we had transport booked and we had to get back to Christchurch as we have a flight etc, etc what's the chances it's going to happen tomorrow, he said 10%. So we cut our loses got our money back and we're gutted we couldn't go to the glacier at all!! (we'll have to come back!!!) We found out later all trips have been cancelled till saturday as the road they use to get to the glacier has been washed away!!! They had as much rain in the last 3 days we were there as they had in the whole of Nov last year!! think it was over 4m over all.

So again we packed up and got our next bus up to Greymouth, we're only staying a night as again it's a small town with not much to do. (seriously the town are tiny) The Hostel we were staying in was lush, it had a gym (a treadmill and afew weights), Hot tub, Sauna, Kayakes, bikes all sorts. We're right next to a smal runway and helicopters seem to take off and land every 5 mins, there is something sratching on the roof all night but other than that I slept really well!! I've turned into a really heavy sleeper and Paul still talks in his sleep, usually swearing!!!

We got the train today back to Christchurch, the TranzAlpine some nice views, couldn't really get many pics there were alot of American tourists taking up all the observation decks. So we're back Christchuch, we're staying right in the town centre this time and guess what the new James Bond film only came out here today so we're going to see that tomorrow night and if you pay by visa you get free popcorn!!!

So considering we haven't done anything I've written alot, so apologies for boring all of you!! tee hee

I see you all have stopped writing us messages, so you must be bored, I'll try and be more entertaining in future!!! We'll get some more photo's up soon too when I find somewhere that doesn't take an hour to download anything!!!
