pete edwards Glad you are still making the most of the trip. Perhaps it was a better trip through the Suez Canal, you can always see the Pyramids later, much easier than going through the canal. At least you are being shielded from the Christmas Panic - I'm fed up of it already -and I haven't been shopping. Not long now before you are back in Blighty and looking forward to "normality". Good luck. Pete.

derek I wish I was as clever as you as I had my sandals taken whilst in the temple and as far as raffles long bar prices you didnot mention the free peanuts , now enjoying a few days of heavy frost if you can remember what that is.
pete edwards Wow! I knew Raffles was more expensive than Betty's in Harrogate! I am reading a novel about Singapore at trhe moment "TANAMERA" which means Red Earth - is the soil really red? The climate is supposed to hot and sticky too. You will have seen a lot of the things mentionned in the novel, so it is worth reading when you get back.Glad you are still having a ball but could do with winning "Millionaire" when you get to Mumbai!. Not long now till Christmas to enjoy yourselves whilst you can. Keep someone smiling.
Ann Zumbo Congratulations! So happy that you had such a great experience of a lifetime. We have received your xmas card, from Debbie. Can't believe you thought of that or that they were available at that time. will call you soon. Love Ann
re: Preston, UKpete edwards All good things come to an end but what memories and experiences!! Pity about a scarf - I have loads that I never use! The Aussies will be moire than cold if we thrash them again in the Test Match. See you soon. Keep smiling.

re: Singapore, SingaporeSteve I take you didn't think much of Vietnam then! Hope you didn't try the local delicacy hot and spicy FIDO!!!! Thailand has some great beaches, hope you find the one you are looking for. With all these parties you are having Christmas will be an anticlimax for you! Nice to hear from you and keep enjoying it - its great to get updates from your 'Ports of Call'.
re: Bankok, ThailandJill & Roger It`s very quiet around this neck of the woods, the rain has poured, the wind has blown, but no fears, your house is still standing! It`s great to read your travel news and we can`t wait to hear all about it in person. Pick `n Mix has been hit `n miss, so we are looking forward to some good games of table tennis. Missing you both, but we know that you are having a GREAT time. See you both before too long! J & R.
re: Whitsunday Islands, QueenslandSteve and Deborah I'm sure Sheila would love to meet Imelda and her shoes, I'm sure she has got some spare!!!! Weather here awful high winds, rain same old Britain! Everything else fine here, Bill's car running well, starts first time every time, I have taken it out 3 or 4 times no problem, it is a great responsive [quick] drive thanks. Keep enjoying yourself we are soooo jealous! Peter keeps asking how you are both going on and can't wait to see you, Charlie gets excited every time we go down your road. See you both at Christmas.
re: Whitsunday Islands, QueenslandDeborah Hi Mum and Dad, everything sounds fabulous. Glad to hear you have met some nice friends, I expect you will meet some more Aussies now as they get on the ship, Steve says its a pity we can't beat them at anything at the moment so you could take the rise out of them!! At least you can keep thrashing them at table tennis!i Everything fine here keep living the dream you lucky things. All our love xxx
re: Brisbane, Queenslandpete edwards Aye, and it is a lovely sunny morning too here in Upholland but it won't last for long before the rain is running down the windows and our necks. Any way I don't suppose you will get any chance to see any of the cricket, both the antipodean rugby teams have beaten out home teams, so I hope our cricketers can do better. Are the sights of humans any more awe inspiring and beautiful than the scenic sights? Keep on enjoying yourselves - farmhouse chicken casserole and ricepuding for lunch - can yours be any better?!! Regards and keep smiling Pete andVi.
