Thanks everybody for your recent comments. We are now back at sea on route to Sydney, arriving Thursday. Since Auckland we have visited Tauranga, a smaller city on the North Island- very pleasant and unhurried, we had a lovely day looking at the sites, although there is nothing of note to record. Yesterday we were in Wellington the capital city of NZ. We took a cable car to the top of Mount Victoria, not all that high, but the botanical gardens were fabulous and we spent a couple of hours there. Back on ground level we walked the City and again we were very impressed, magnificent buildings, albeit mostly modern. Somewhat cooler in Wellington but still bright and sunny. Had a look along the waterfront and some of the older buildings - everything clean and tidy, no litter or graffiti to be seen. We commented that we could quite happily live there.

We left New Zealand with some memorable images and hopefully our photographs will help to keep these alive. We are looking forward to Australia and will let you now how we get on.
