Arrived home safe and sound at 5pm after a long journey from Southampton where we left around 10am. Visited Mumbai yesterday - had to be seen to be believed, streets jam packed with people and vehicles, road safety non-existent. There were women and babies sat in groups smiling and waving at us amidst all the chaos of the streets, the ramshackle houses and pile upon pile of discarded rubbish and debris. Last Thursday we were in Singapore and wish we were still there, there is so much to see and it was a packed day. We enjoyed the drive into the City and we stpped at the Botanical Gardens on route, which was very enjoyable. The range of plants, particularly orchids,was beautiful.
