Nov 16/09 Well today was a well earned rest day. We had the great pleasure of finding Said Mountain Bikes. Said took great care of us and between him and his mechanic they got my front rack and derailleur on track. They also trued Dal's sadly warped wheel and fixed his gears as best they could be fixed. Marrakech has been quite a bit of fun. I was expecting it to be ridiculously touristy but in spite of the tons of tourists here it is really nice. The main square and markets are a blast to wander through. They sell just about everything and there is action everywhere you turn. The smells of spices and incense usually cover any of the not-so-pleasant odors that are in every city. There is very little chance of us going hungry here. The food has been fantastic....

Had a decent flight to London. No screaming kids although the smell from the person in front of me was enough to make me want to stay home for the rest of my life. Yikes! Now we are just trying to stay awake to adapt to this time zone. Lots of shuffling from one terminal to the other and back to the hotel. On the bright side we just discovered that we can check our baggage in 24 hours in advance so we are doing it this evening instead of at 5AM tomorrow. Nice. ...

After a few road bumps, trip preparations are almost done. I will be pedalling around Morocco with my longtime, adventurous travel buddy Dal. We were co-workers, roommates and travel buds in Chile many moons ago. He was just crazy enough (in a good way of course) to join the trip on short notice. My quest to cycle tour on all of the non-frozen continents is well under way. The last remaining continent is one of my favourites, Africa. This time I will head north of the Sahara and check out Morocco
