Had a decent flight to London. No screaming kids although the smell from the person in front of me was enough to make me want to stay home for the rest of my life. Yikes!
Now we are just trying to stay awake to adapt to this time zone. Lots of shuffling from one terminal to the other and back to the hotel. On the bright side we just discovered that we can check our baggage in 24 hours in advance so we are doing it this evening instead of at 5AM tomorrow. Nice.
Trying to take full advantage of the luxurious showers and facilities while we can because after tonight we will be roughing it. We have had a bit of time today to look over the maps and get some ideas of where we want to go. Both Dal and I are chomping at the bit to get going. We are leaning towards some time in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, maybe the Draa Valley and hopefully over to Essaouria on the coast to warm up after our mountain adventures. I guess it all depends on what we find there...
Will post again as soon as I can get Internet access.
Tidbits for Cyclists: Bike storage in the South Terminal at Gatwick is available 24 hours a day. I think it is £4 per bag per day.
National Express Shuttle from Heathrow to London was a treat. They had no problem carrying the bikes since they were in boxes. Took about an hour and was £39 for both of us.
