Ok so today we finished our 28 hour train journey which was an epic one. It was very long but it wasn't to bad as we started at 12 mid day till 4:20 the next day. Today we booked onto the flip flop hostel tour to the panda research centre, for 118 yuen. All I can say is it was amazing we had a little wait at the hostel for the van to arrive and again when we go there for the rest of our tour group to arrive. Today was our real first day here in chengdu. We decided to go for a city tour a long the river to the bamboo park. The bamboo park was really nice cost 20 yuan to get in which from the outside looks a bit of a rip off but when you get in you are welcomed by an archway of bamboo trees. Ok so the second train journey. This time we opted for the hard sleeper (the triple buck beds without a door) we had the top bunk which was cosy but sooo much better than the seats, and the other bunks as the bottom every sits on it and the middle people lean against it so the top was perfect.
