Hey guys
I know we haven't written for aaaaaaaaaaages- we've been far too busy having fun! Bex and Rach are both writing these next couple of blogs as there's a lot to say!
Hoi An:
Absolutely beautiful old town with French style grand buildings and a river running through it. Just outside Hoi An is a lovely beach that we spent a few days sunbathing on. We had to get there on the back of scooters which was a lot of fun! Hoi An is known for its tailoring- there are literally hundreds of tailor shops in the small town. We had a lot of fun designing our own clothes and each got a coat and dress made to measure :), now we just have to make sure we don't put on any weight! Met a couple of Aussie girls we hope to meet up with in Sydney.
Nha Trang:
We LOVED Nha Trang! Mostly because all we did was scuba dive. I (Bex) did my Open Water PADI Diving course and managed to somehow pass with flying colours! I did four sea dives in all and went down to 18ft, yay! Rach spent the time that I was training getting her confidence back up and enjoying six sea dives. We met some cool guys who work for the diving company who took us out to an authentic Vietnamese restaurant for dinner, there were little BBQs on the tables! V awesome.
Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon):
We were sad to leave Nha Trang and exhausted after a boring 10hr bus journey so we went to watch Mama Mia at the cinema! Solid gold cheese- great feel good movie though. We bumped into Jorinde, a girl we hung out with in Hanoi, in a bar and spent the night partying with some guys we met at the hostel. We were so behind schedule at this point as we'd spent a lot of time diving that we only had one day in Saigon. We visited all the tourist sites including the War Remnants Museum, Independence Palace and a Pagoda.
Then onto another night bus to Cambodia...
