Hey! Me again (Bex), Rach is on the phone to her rentals.

We met an awesome group of people on the flight over here from Hanoi and have been hanging out with them and having an amazing time! Luang Prabang was beautiful and the hostel we stayed at was the best yet by far. Pong, the owner, is from Thailand and taught us all about the Monks here in Laos. Rach and I went on an 'adventure day' out which involved a 3hour long and gruelling mountain bike ride in the blistering heat and about 1,000,000 percent humidity! Then we went on a questionable elephant trekk and motor-boated over the Mekong river. I had to politely decline an offer of bird's head and pig's blood for lunch...

The next day a group of us from the hostel went on a trip with Pong up to some amazing waterfalls. We were told to ignore the 'DO NOT SWIMMING AREA' sings everywhere and dive right in! It was some scary stuff considering we were more or less the only people stupid enough to do it and the waterfalls were absolutely flippin massive! Rach jumped off the highest one with some of the boys as none of the other girls were brave enough.

We're now in Vang Vieng and it's all about the TUBING!! Basically you rent a rubber ring and float down a huge river stopping off at riverside bars along the way. We discovered that I'm extremely brave when drunk and have a go at every zip-wire and rope swing going! You meet loads and loads of people and get progressively more drunk with them until it gets dark. We've been two days in a row and as a result have spent most of the day today sleeping and watching a lot of Friends reruns in a cafe. Our legs are totally covered in cuts and briuses and our boddies just as covered with permanent marker due to some very pen-happy german guys...

We've ordered our visas and have booked our coach tickets down to Hue, Vietnam and we leave in two days. The bus journey from Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng was 6hours long and terrifying! So we're not massively looking forward to the 19hour ride back to Vietnam...

We've arranged to meet up with the irish girls that we met here in Sydney at Christmas. Sooooo exciting!!
