Only had one night in Brisbane, and Anthony met me from the transit centre, and we went and dumped my stuff at the hostel. thw 22 bed dorm i had booked was full so got upgraded to a 6 bed! we went for dinner round the corner, as i was staying in the valley, and then went for a wlk through the cbd and over to the southbank. Saw the pretend beach and the friday night market and had the most amazing ice cream at a place where you choose your ice cream and mixes, ...

We arrived in Surfers on wednesday and got picked up from the transit centre in a battered old limo! Got back to the hostel and found rooms, i ended up with a bed you literally have to climb into as they have tried to fit too many people in a room, but the hostel is nice, set out into little apartments, with your own kitchen and living room and bathroom. We joined up on a pub crawl, and got given ties and glow sticks and lots of free goon (we all love the goon)....

We went out to Cheeky monkeys for dinner, $5 specials and with our oxexperience passes we get $5 off so free dinner! my favourite kind! the bar was pretty crazy, they had lots of things to give away if you would do something crazy like a chilli eating contest, and the tables that we ate on became the dancefloor! the bouncers are really harsh thoiugh ,and if you look like you may become drunk they kick you out, leading to half our group home by 12! losing track of...

Arrived in Byron yesterday and went straight online to book all my buses as there is a lot of panic about the east coast being full! Met Sarah for a wander round and see whats going on. Had a nice little drive along to surf x, spotting lots of kangaroos on the way. stopped off at the drive through bottle shop to stock up for the night then arrived at surf camp. Got shown to a little 6 bed cabin and managed to get the one with no air con and a broken light! big communal dinner, it was like being on a school trip! they had a big area with a fire in the middle, and 120 people sat round drinking and playing guitar! was a great night and met loads...
