Hey everyone!!

Had a nice chilled out day today! Headed to the National Sports Complex, which is a short train ride away!! Amazes me how all these hot countries manage to have cool and fresh trains and yet in London its worse than being above ground in the summer!! The station at the stadium is literally right outside the main stadium although at the back!

They weren't doing tours around the main stadium which was a bit gutting as it looks amazing! So i decided to have a walk round as the other centres were located around it! It was completely dead walking around and absolutely no recognition that the commonwealth games were held there!! It just looks a bit run down now but you can tell that 13 years ago it would have been quite spectacular!!

The first stadium I got to was the Squash Centre (or as they call it the skuasy centre!!). The VIP entrance is at the front and wasn't open but the main entrance (to us normal people) was oepn at the back and I had a little wander around! They have 10 courts there, 5 on each side or the main corridor, all with quite large viewing areas! Got some pics which I will try and put up on Sat!! They also have a centre court, which has glass walls and has viewing all the way round!! Reading the local newspaper, squash is pretty popular although their no 1 has pulled out of a tournament to be held at the stadium in a few months time!!

Then headed to the Aquatic centre which I sneaked into via the press doors!! It was pretty spectactular!! It was all open, with a roof over the pools and viewing, which was pretty high all at one side!! It was a 10 lane 50m pool in the centre, with diving boards to one side and a 25m pool the other (probably a warm up pool!!)! Not bad eh?! The other stadium was much smaller and looked like it would have held basketball games or small concerts!!

Headed back to the hostel via a shopping mall!! They sure know how to shop here!! It was about 10 floors high and thats pretty much the norm, except they have another one a few hundred metres down the road!! Think my shopping day could be very busy!! Just chilled at the hostel this evening with a couple of beers and a rainstorm, as you do!! Apparently there is usually a rain storm most days!! Today it only lasted about 15mins but we then had thunder and lightning for the next hour but with no rain!! Praying I don't get caught in the rain over the next few days!! Defo didn't pack my coat!!
