It's Sunday, and a long sleep in was had by the both of us, our main focus today was to take the underground to Kings Cross/St Pancras station to book our tickets for Amsterdam on Tuesday, all done, where to go next and breakfast was needed, so it was decided to go to Green Park, breakfast over and done with we just started to take a leisurely wander down the streets and through the arcades, not all shops in London open on a Sunday so the crowds were not so large...

No set plans for today so after a small sleep in, we decided to go to Brighton which is approximately a 55 minute train trip from London, leaving the train we just followed the crowd until we arrived at the beach and then headed for Brighton Pier, it looks exactly as you see in the photos, all the fun fair rides, the music and fast food outlets, very busy and popular. Another day had dawned and once again we had plans, first on the list was the Tower of London, at the moment around the tower are fields of poppies which commemorates 100 years since the first world war, and it has been named "Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red' the poppies are made of ceramic and are installed where the moats were, plus at certain points they flow down from the castle walls and it looks as the walls are bleeding.
