We where awoken by my alarm nice and early for breakfast. The lady of the house called us to the dinning room. The room was along a wooden corridor with open glass doors to the garden on one side.
We took our seats. A selection of small dishes had already been laid out for us. There was baked salmon, fruit and rice. We ate our breakfast and planned our day over drinking fresh coffee and green tea.
I grabbed our things while Beverley checked out. We checked with our hostess and determined the next bus to Nagano was due now and there won't be another for 2 hours. We hurried to get our shoes on as she kindly went to hold the bus. We made the bus in time and waved to our lovely host as we pulled away.
The bus chugged along the mountain roads weaving it's way down the pearliest passes. We made is safe and sound to Nagano with time to spare before our train to Tokyo. With our bags left at the station we headed in town. Beverley tried on some dresses, skirts and tops at local boutique stores, and came away with some lovely new clothes to wear. We boarded the express train and found our seats. Before we knew it we where approaching Japans capital Tokyo.
On the train between Kyoto and Nagoya we had missed placed Beverley's fleece. So once we had arrived in Tokyo we thought we would try to see if it had made it there as Tokyo was the trains final stop. With some hunting we found the right office and Beverley was reunited with her fleece and I was left wishing I had left our big rucksack on the train.
We jumped onto the local Tokyo trains and headed to our hostel. After a well earned wash I sorted through our bags and washing. In the evening we went on a search for food and Beverley choose indian. But with sticky rice it felt more of a indian Japanese blend (and wasn't the best). We headed back to the hostel to catch up on goings on. The true Tokyo adventure awaits.
