The day before my birthday I managed to dive in Vietnam with Dad while Mum snorkelled. One word amazing! It was a 45 minute boat ride from Nha Trang through floating fishing villages towards the beautiful island of Hon Mun….and the highlight? A swim through two caves with shoals of fish surrounding every inch of my body; feeling slightly attacked ha! A day with great people, a great dive and a great seafood restaurant for dinner…life's hard here!
I can't believe I've had my 19th Birthday already…and in Vietnam! I will never forget it that's for sure. Cards and pressies from England, it didn't make me miss home but it made me miss family and friends. Notes and messages inside some too, it was a great surprise! We then all decided to spend a day pampering ourselves at the mud baths; gloopy, green yet nutritious for your skin. The mud bath was followed by a quick lay down, to dry the mud, whilst looking like aliens on sunbeds. For any onlookers this would have been a strange and funny image I have to admit. Next was a hot mineral bath with fresh watermelon to eat followed by a foot massage and time in the Jacuzzis and mineral fountains. I couldn't feel more relaxed and I kept on thinking how lucky I was to spend the day with the parents-even if they do cramp my style!
For my Birthday meal we went to another fish restaurant-actually it served meat too but when near the sea, fish is a must. Fresh spring rolls followed by a squid dish (a load of garlic on top of the squid probably wasn't the best idea before drinking) and a sugary mango and banana pudding to follow. I then left the rents to their own devices while I carried on celebrating. A motorbike, bars, cans of beer, a Vietnamese village overlooking the sand and sea and in good company. When I got back there was a surprise cake from the hotel waiting in my room…how cute! The flight the next day however wasn't so pretty-looking worse for wear with a few hours sleep and a beer hangover; classy as ever! Hanoi here we come!

Mon Sounds like you had a fantastic birthday. And I've seen you after a few hours sleep and you still look as amazing as if you'd had 10 hours, so don't give me that. And who is Elizabeth? ;P
