Arrived in Port Macquarie at lunch time and checked into our holiday park accomodation. Sounds dodgy but nice dorm and a huge swimming pool on site. Also right by the beach. Relaxed by the pool for a bit and then did a coastal walk overlooking all the beaches and also learning about the history of Port about the convicts sent there. Was really hot day and there was some lovely view points. Also had a look around the town which was very seasidy and pretty. In the evening we went out to the pub on the beach front and the to a club which had about 5 people in it!! hehe. Went out with a guy from our dorm who was from kent. On the friday we visited the koala hospital, yes a real hospital for koalas that have been burnt or run over or lost there mums! Was really lovely, learnt about all the names and stories and watched them being feed there food in a syringe. The guy who showed us round was called Geoff Best and has a brother who lives in Galleywood! How random, smal world hey! On the way home we stopped off for 'healthy fish and chips' which are cooked in olive oil. Was really good had calamari and king prawns. Early night after that. Off to Byron Bay Tomorrow....
