Just on the bus journey north to a town called DeLat after a day trip to the Mekong.
After an hour and a half journey to The Mekong we jumped on a boat to Unicorn island, first thing i did was buy a hammock, (120,000d £3.60) as you do, before visiting a bee farm for honey tasting, green tea with honey and all different kinds of honey sweets, then onto a smaller boat down a very narrow stream in boat rush hour in the Mekong, hectic, little rowing boats everywhere, witnessed how sweets were made from coconut (coconut candy) and played with the puppy's, probably not the best idea but couldn't resist! Maybe could have had one more day in the Mekong but was ready to head out of Ho Chi Minh by this time!
One last bowl of pho now on the bus to delat! The girl at PP backpackers hostel couldn't have been more helpful, she personally took us to the bus station, brought our tickets ($10) and escorted us to the right bus, so nice! Now for the 7hr bus trip to delat!
All in all, really enjoyed Ho Chi Minh and would definitely return due to how nice the people are and there care free attitude which I'm expecting over the whole country, they seem to be very happy go lucky people who just get on with there lives and not worry about tomorrow, which I like a lot!
