We arrived here by sleeper-train on the great Reunification Express (although 'express' isn't quite the word I would use), to be greeted by grey, wet weather.......and an almost city-wide power cut!Hue doesn't have a huge amount of things to see as most of it was destroyed during the 'American War'. They call it paradise....I wouldn't go quite that far! Yes it's got some nice beaches etc but so have a lot of other places in Thailand.There are however, lots of beautiful-looking people. We arrive (via flight number 9!) to torrential rain. We drive past a Tesco's. Feels just like being back at home (same same, only warmer)!!There isn't much to do in Krabi - it's more a hopping-off point to one of the islands like Phi Phi or Lanta - so feels very laid-back (which is rather refreshing after the craziness of Bangkok and the Khao San Raod!!I just wish it wasn't so bloody humid......!

Wow, if you thought the traffic in Hanoi was bad......Saigon's is like Hanoi's but on steroids!! There are simply millions of motorbikes - morning, noon and night - sounding like a swarm of honeybees. You could easily spend a few hours sitting in a cafe while watching "the strange choreography of vehicular ballet" taking place outside!
