Heeeeey! so... I've arrived in Nairobi, Kenya with all limbs still attached! Flight was okay - :D made the most of a few free G'n'Ts.
The guy that picked me up gave me some interetsing pointers about the Kenyan 'way'. But I've been here for just half a day and somehow I'm already starting to feel settled in. Nairobi is definately franetic but it's amazing how the Kanyan's ave such a layed back attitude towards time. All have a kind of 'calm urgency' and always have time to exchange the odd word here and there. Most conversation have starting with people asking if i'm muslim because of my black/white checked scarfe :D
I've met up with a canadian guy who's is on the same project as me. We spend a good 3 hours wondering round the city with our ledge of a guide Paul who we made good mates with and ended up playing pool with a local bar. Pool is wicked here - ultimately the same, but the loser pays! The winner stays on while the waiter pays for each game, taking note of every time you lose a game - each game you lose you have to pay for and is added to your individual bill. Class stuff.
Oh and 'Tuskar' beer rules ;)
We set off to Nakuru (3 hour journey) tomorro at 10am. Apparently it's a nice trip and take us right through the middle of the rift Valley. What better place to start than the place life began!... supposedly. :D
Over and out!
xXx
