BennyBeanBears Travels
Well everyone, we all arrived in England safe and sound if somewhat a little travel weary. I had been brought out of my small 'carry on' case and had my photo taken at Singapore and Abu Dhabi on the way, then at Heathrow after we had been through all the formalities. Each time I was unceremoniously stuffed back in the case next to two bottle of gin for Heather that were in fancy packaging that glowed blue each time the case was bumped. How the hell could I ever get any rest under such conditions.
It was might chilly when we arrived not that we experienced much of that in the terminal or on the London "tube".
Lyn got mightily frustrated as she had to try three machines before she got one where she could actually top up her 'oyster' card for the tube. Finally we boarded the tube only to hear that there would be many delays because of signal failures in the Central London. While sitting on the tube we saw many snow flurries pass outside and a blast of freezing air penetrated the carriage at each stop.
Eventually we all arrived in Arundel and Dawn met us at the station because she took pity on us poor jet lagged travelers and no way would us and all our gear fit in Heather's little 'smart car'.
Now I am once again sitting on Heather's sofa often sharing it with Derek and Trevor, the cats. The sun came out yesterday and this morning there is frost on the ground too - brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I will write more when something interesting happens
Cheers
