We headed to Krabi after Bangkok, we had to get another overnight bus which took about 12 hours. We headed staright to Krabi beaches and spent three days there. There was nt much to do there apart from sunbathe so thats about all we did. We had a good night out on our first night, we drank a lot of buckets and Ben and Ashley did a lot of shots at the bar. Ben was slightly wasted. On our way home we stopped off at a pancake stall and ben managed to miss his mouth and dropped his peanut buttre pancake all over himself!! it was hilarios, theres a picture of him with his peanut butter covered shorts!!
After our three days in Krabi we headed to Koh Tao, we had to get a bus which wasnt too bad, it only took about 4 hours but then we had to hang around for ages as we had to get a night ferry. The ferry left at 10pm, everyone had a ticket with a number and that was your matress number. The matresses were all crammed in on the floor next to each other, very similar to a tin of sardines! Ben and i were lucky as we managed to get the beds that were raised off the floor, we actually slept pretty well on the boat.
Koh Tao was really beautiful, Ben and i got a cheap little beach hut which was about a fiver a night! The beaches were really nice and the sea was really clear. I think Amelia and Ashley were pretty impressed too. We managed to a bit more on Koh Tao, maybe because there was more to do!! We had a really good night out and did a couple of day trips, one was to an island about 20 minutes boat ride away. It had an amazing underwater japanese garden tht you snorkelled over, we saw loads of fish, i think it was the best place we've snorkelled on our trip so far. The island was really beautiful and the view was amazing.
Ben and Ashley also went on a fishing trip but i think they were a bit dissapointed as they didnt catch much, although the thai guy that took them on the trip caught a squid and cooked it up for them....yuck! Amelia and i spent the whole day sunbathing, much more fun!!
Koh Tao has to be one of our favourite stops.
