Benny and Dani's Travels
So after our 'interesting' New Year, we decided to head back to Thailand, we booked a minibus to take us to Krabi where we were stopping for the night before heading to Khao Sok Natinal park(the rain forest).
After our horrible coach journey into Malaysia with the company of the dreaded cockroaches we really didnt think any of our journeys could get any worse...but we were wrong!
Our mini bus picked us up at 8.30am and we were the last two people to get picked up, there were two free seats right at the back next to a man. Not just any old man though, as soon as i got on the bus, i could smell something rank, the only way i can describe this smell is a mixture of alcohol, sweat and urine, that tramp kind of smell..and i was sitting next to it! I really didnt want to look at this guy but couldn't help it as he was right next to me, he had these horrible dirty clothes on and looked like he hadn't washed in years, but he looked scary like something out of a horror film!! Anyway so just as i thought it couldn't get any worse he whips out a bottle of vodka and starts swigging it...but thats not all, he then picked every part of his body, his nose, ears, head etc and rolled the picked stuff between his fingers!! Worst of all, he put his hand down his trousers and i couldnt look after that. So i managed not to breathe in the smell but then the guy starts nodding off and his head is moving nearer me, im moving away and am practically sitting on Ben, as soon as the bus stopped i swapped seats with Ben as i couldnt take much more.
Luckily we wern't on the same bus for the whole journey but it was definately long enough!!
We arrived in Krabi that night and stayed in the nicest guest house, we booked our bus tickets to take us to Khao Sok National park the next day. The journey was about 3 hours and there were no stinky wierdo's on the bus so it was all good!
Khoa Sok was amazing, lots of hills and lots of rain forest.
We spent 3 nights in Khao Sok, there wasn't too much to do there apart from trek through the rain forest. On the second day we decided to venture along one of the trails, we walked for 14km's that day and it was boiling, we were sweating so much, i dont think i ever sweat like that before in my life! As soon as you wiped the sweat from your forehead you were dripping again! Our trail stopped off at different swimming holes and waterfalls, it was really nice scenery although we didnt see many animals! the most we saw was a beetle and a lizard, we did hear a gibbon calling Ben back to his true home but he didnt go!!!
We didnt do much else there exept decide that are next stop would be the beach as we felt like we deserved a nice relaxing stop!haha!
