Early start... Well 9... ish! Anyway Jen had sorted out bike hire yesterday so we headed out to pick them up

Our plans for the day revolved around a trip out to a nearby lake. This, of course, provided the perfect opportunity for a picnic lunch and therefore a visit to the farmers market for supplies.

All packed up, we set off on our 12km bike ride over mountainous terrain to lake Cavayère. Weather & scenery beautiful. 3 beaches, water park, pedlos, treetop adventure and, most importantly, mini golf. Needless to say Jen was very happy!

After a circuit of the lake we found a sheltered spot for a lazy afternoon of picnicking and sunbathing (well burning...)

Heading back, again managing to miss the intended route, we stopped off for ice cream in the square and then back to the apartment to get ready for our mini dinner party with our host, Peter

Peter set up a dinner for 3 along with a tutored wine tasting of some of languedoc's finest. All round great food, great wine and great conversation.

Fab night. Long drive to cote d'azur tomorrow. Can't quite justify the 2hr detour via the millau bridge now, so thinking oysters for lunch in sete on the way instead.
