Hi Everyone,

We made it to New Zealand, no thanks to some last minute efforts by BA trying to sabotage the flights! We stopped in LA for a night and then flew down to Auckland the next day. 23 hours flying in 2 days was a bit much, but at least it's over and done with now.

Yesterday we spent the morning looking round Mt. Eden where our hostel is. We actually climbed Mt. Eden before we'd even checked in, so we were pretty pleased with ourselves in the afternoon. However, this only added to the tiredness from our jetlag so the rest of the day was pretty lazy.

Today we spent the day in Auckland city centre looking around the Quayside, Victoria Park and Market, Skytower and shopping areas. We managed to pick up a tent for a bargainous $60! Hopefully we'll be able to use campsites from now on to save money for more exciting things! We'll add the photos from Auckland soon. By the way, its roasting here, AMAZING!

Tomorrow we're travelling by bus to the most northerly point in NZ, Cape Reinga.
