We arrived quite late in Penang and were greeted by a truly wonderful storm...welcome to Malaysia! Having grabbed some food we called in an early night as we only had the following day to explore the City. We caught a local bus to visit Kek Lok Si Temple which is the largest Buddhist temple complex in Malaysia. Once again we were caught up in a storm and had the chance to wear our beautiful mac in a pac! The temple itself was very pretty and provided great views of the city and bay.

The afternoon was spent wandering around the City before we visited the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion which was built by a cantonese business man. The mansion was painted a striking blue and was used in the film Indochine. We had an excellent tour of the house learning about chinese customs and the art of feng shui.

After a quiet evening we packed are bags, ready for an early start the following morning.
