Vienna!! A fantastic city. Rich in culture, this place us famous for its arts, that being theatre, music, and its galleries. Also Mozart! Yes Mozart us buried here somewhere, apparently not many know where as a the end of his life he was so far in debt that he couldn't afford a proper burial therefore he was just thrown in an unmarked grave!
Anyway Vienna has been the hottest city so far. Sweltering weather that just made you want to stand in a cold chowed the whole day. Unfortunately everyone has this mentality including the other 5 I was sharing a room with so that made it a bit difficult. I stayed in Vienna for a total of 3 nights and ⁴is days, on the lash day I had to catch an 8am bus so thus doesn't really count. There was plenty to see I dimdnt really have a chance to get to it all. I'm most likely going to have to visit again. Across the road from the hostel was the most amazing street market. Spices, olives, cheeses and clothes alike were available - for a reasonable price of course. There was also a Thai/sushi restaurant. It was the best!!! Dint expect good service and don't expect it to come out quickly but. Expect it to taste delicious.
Apart from Mozart and good sushi Vienna is somewhat Tamika for its palaces. The picture attached is the view from the top of palace gardens. It was about 40°C today and by the time I took this photo I was well and truley over it all! The palace was amazing though. I visited the summer palace, it was beautiful. The most elaborate palace yet.. after Versailles!
Another thing to try when in Vienna is this famous chocolate "diet cake" yes I know it doesn't sound to diety but it is. It has no cream or butter or something I don't really remember. But the point is its two chocolate sponges with apricot jam in between and it is so incredibly dry because of its lack of fat that you need to add incredible amounts of cream, thus defeating the purpose of being a diet cake not bad though :-)
Any who that's it for this one, stay classy!
