Hey!

After spending wednesday at Airlie Beach lagoon and getting rather lobsterfied, we retired to our cabin feeling a little burnt and exhausted.

On Thursday we went on our cruise round the Whitsunday Islands which was absolutely amazing. We visited Hook Island and braved the jellyfish infested waters in our stinger suits (a thin wetsuite- not much protection from death defying jellyfish!). We saw a massive stingray when we fed the fish from the boat too!! We did some snorkelling on this island and also saw a wild snake on our trek to the beach. Next up was a trip to the famous Whitehaven Beach which had pure white, soft sand and crystal blue waters.....total paradise!! we saw a giant lizzard about 3-4ft long who was weirdly friendly! Lunch aboard the boat was really nice too....lots of fresh meats and fruit to keep Steve happy!! Our last island was Daydream Island where we chillaxed in the pool with a cocktail and some fellow holiday makers. All in all, this was a brilliant day!

Friday we had to make our way to Brisbane on the long drive to the worlds tiniest airport! Its weird cos theres loads of hills and sugar cane farms on the way and we just didnt expect it to be so hilly and green!!

When we got to our hostel in Brisbane lastnight, we were pleasantly surprised to find a gorgeous kitchen, a massive bathroom with a roll top bath and a bedroom with a four poster bed in it!! luxury!!! We decided to chill out with a few beers and get to know our housemates.

We are off to Australia Zoo today to see some big ass crocs so we will catch up soon!!
