Hi guys!! We've arrived in melbourne! This entry may be a bit short as we've not actually done much today except travel but thought I'd update anyway! Ok, before I forget, I forgot to mention the weather in Canberra yesterday!! Probably because it was so COLD that my brain froze..!! Seriously, it was freezing. Mum - I actually wore 3 layers (inc a hoody) plus my beanie hat and gloves (told you it would come in useful!) lol. So not quite as warm as Sydney! Anyways, we woke up today and after breakfast once again trekked to the station. It was only up the road but felt like forever! When we got there we put our luggage in and then waited for our coach to arrive. We then had a 3hr coach ride (the scenery was quite boring, really desolate and not much to see, then we changed onto a train for the remaining 6hrs or so. I am sooooo grateful for the invention of the mp3 player! It def saved me today! lol. We got to Melbourne around 7pm and then headed outside to find our tram to take us to the hostel. By now it was pitch black and raining so this was not easy and we were both quite fed up after such a long journey and still had the stupid heavy bags on our backs..! (sorry, thats my moan out of the way!) The hostel however, is LOVELY. Its the best we've had, infact it makes the others look really bad, and the worse thing is its actually the cheapest! lol. Its a bit like a hotel, all white inside, lovely showers and rooms so very impressed. We are in a 4 bed dorm again. Not met the other person yet but know they are male. We showered and then took a walk outside to get some food before coming onto the internet. We are debating whether or not to stay up for the football (its on at 1am here!) so gonna see how we feel but thinks its on in the hostel so least don't have to go too far. Not sure of the plan for tomorrow yet, just gonna get a feel of the place and find our bearings. We're here for 5 nights so plenty of time to fit everything in. Hope everyone is well. I'm doing quite well in terms of homesickness (sorry guys, I do miss you I promise!) and haven't actually had a cry yet so impressed with that considering I CAN be a bit of a baby sometimes lol. But am having a really good time and this last week has been a great experience so no need to worry bout me :0) Will update again soon and will pass on lots of hellos to the neigbours crew! lol.
