Last night went went to a bar in town called The Star Bar with 2 girls called Jo and Rachel from the hostel. It was only a 10 minute walk from the hostel. We had a few drinks in there and got talking to 2 guys in there who are going onto NZ to train as ski instructors. It was a good night, was nice to meet some new people. Today we got up at 6.30am (not quite sure how!) and somehow managed to dress using only the light from my mobile phone so as not to wake our roomie (luckily I didn't go out wearing anything I shouldn't! lol). We then walked to the station and got the 7.25am train to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. We then got a ticket for a trolley bus which takes you to the attractions and you get on and off where you like. We first went to a little village which had some shops and tea rooms etc. We went in one and had devonshire tea and scones (v posh I know, but only did it as had half price voucher! lol). But was lovely tea (Oz tea isn't too great so was nice to have the 'proper' stuff!) then we went to Leura Falls and saw a waterfall and walked round the edge of the cliff overlooking the bluemountains. We then went to see the three sisters and then walked right round the edge of the cliff (seemed like many kms!) and got to scenic world. We were now at the bottom of the cliff so we got the train back up. Its the steepest railway in the world, at an angle of 52 degrees. It was horrible! You had to go backwards to go up and it felt like you were going to slide right through the railing. I think we squealed all the way up! Once we got off I felt really sick! lol. Luckily I wasn't! :0P We then got the trolley bus back to the station and then got the 2hr train back to Sydney. We are now completely exhausted! So after using the internet for a bit I think we'll get an early night! Tomorrow we are going to Bondi beach, we've heard its not that great but are going to say we've been! lol. Then will hopefully whale watch in the afternoon and then have dinner overlooking the harbour and opera house again for our final night in Sydney. Hope everyone is well. Take care guys. Miss you all!
