Ok so i thought it was about time i wrote some more for this blog seen as the last time i updated it was February!!
Well since then i have milked a few cows etc and lost my job which means that i will be heading to Australia in just over 3 weeks (14th June). so during my time left in New Zealand I actually have to sort out flights to get home, sorry but yes i am coming home (for a bit anyway) and see a bit more of this country so i have borrowed the car and headed north to the Coromandel, well after a bit of a false start but thankfully Debbie came to the rescue and i headed off to Te Aroha a bit later then planned. So I spent a night in Te Aroha YHA before heading up to Whitianga stopping on the way at Whangamata, Opoutere, I also stopped at Hot water Beach but unfortunately the tides weren't right so could dig a hole, so i carried on to Cathedral Cove which was a 45minute walk however part way there it started to rain i decided it would stop soon so carried on however it didn't and it got heavier and well you know me i wasn't wearing a coat so got soaked and decided to turn back. I carried on up the coast and got to Whitianga i stayed here for a couple of nights, i was fed up driving by now so decided to go for a walk so i crossed on the ferry and walked to Whitianga rock, back bay, front bay, Shakespeare cliff and another beach.
From Whitianga I went to Coromandel Town where i am now with a little black cat that dosent seem to get the hint that i don't like him seen as i have gently placed him on the floor 6 times and still he keeps coming back!!!!
Yesterday i drove to the top of the coromandle along gravel tracks (the car has gone from reddy to brown) for most of the day to Port jackman and Fletchers bay I started the Coromandel Walkway but it was 3 hours each way so decided to not do it all and also it had been raining so the track was really muddy. So i went back to the car and drove to Port Charles and Stoney Bay, lots of pretty scenery in this part of the Coromandel.
Today I went on the Driving Creek Railway which took us up the hill to the eye full Tower were there was some amazing views of coromandel town and the area around it, i then went on a walk to somewhere but i havent the foggiest where it was ( i think i am getting good at remebering place names!!!!) but it was a nice walk it took about 50 minutes then i walked the raod back to town and started writing this blog so that has been my trip so far!!!
If anyone reads this who has been to Australia any ideas of where i should go as i have 3 months and its a big country which i am bound to get lost in!!!!
Any way best go and think of something else to do, I will try and update it again soon but i'm not very good at remembering to do things like that.
Bye for now Bex
