After flying in from Krabi, we spent one night on Ko Samui Island ready to catch the ferry to Ko Phagnan... The place was packed with every one heading to the Islands ready for New Years Eve.

We wandered out in the evening & stumbled across a very authentic Thai market! We tried various amounts of food off the street stalls including crunchy octopus, pork, chicken & delicious corn... I chickened out of trying the fried scorpions & crickets! I also managed to barter down a lady selling seawater pearl jewellery & bagged myself a nice pearl bracelet, a lovely little Thai souvenir to myself!

We decided on an early night ready to be up at the crack of dawn & also from being knackered & delicate from the previous week of partying... But from the amount of sleep we got from the surrounding bars/music, we should have jut gone out and carried on drinking!!! Lesson learnt!

Ko Samui, we will see you in a week! Next stop Ko Phagnan...
