Becky Bravo's Adventures
After all that endless travel, we were more than relieved to be at our hostel. It was pretty great. We had a private room, and there were two kitchens that we could make use of. We just wanted to explore our first night, so we walked toward this music we could hear very loudly from this park that was right across from our hostel. We stopped in some stores along the way. As we got closer, we come to realize that it was a Duran Duran concert that we were hearing. We were not able to enter the concert arena, but we stood behind the stadium (which was right next to the castle) and could hear perfectly. Luckily for us, an amazing Thai restaurant was right there as well, and we ended our evening by eating a lovely meal there. Everybody was correct when they told us that it was super expensive here, but we hit up Costco before we left the U.S. and have many power bars, and fruit snacks that have made it possible for us to survive on buying only one meal a day. So we have been saving much money there. Scotland is beautiful, but is has been cold, and rainy. It actually reminds me a lot of Seattle!
