Today was a pretty laid back day. We were super tired from our excursion the day before, so we slept so well! We got up in plenty of time to catch breakfast, book our excursion for tomorrow, and go to the awful timeshare meeting the hotel set us up at so we could recieve our free gift. ;) Don't worry, Jaime and I cannot be convinced. Today was a very long day, but worth every second! We took a day excursion to Saona Island, and Island off the South East coast of Domincan Republic. We took a bus to our boat, and started the venture to Saona Island. Apparently, some scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed here, so that was pretty cool. We boarded a catamaran and first got to do some snorkeling. We saw tons of fish and coral, and even Blue Tang Fish! Those are kind of fish Dory is from...

We made it! It was quite a long flight, and usually I can sleep anywhere, but the flight seemed extra long because I couldn't sleep for very long. But no matter, after traveling all through the night, it felt great to finally get to our resort. AND we got here 30 minutes before lunch was over, so we got to enjoy a delicious lunch buffet before heading to our room. This is definitely a different experience than our honeymoon. Well, we made it home safe and sound. Let me tell you, it was an absolutely perfect trip. Equal parts relaxing and adventure. Perfect for me and Jaime. I do appreciate you following my blog and hope you enjoyed the photos. Costa Rica was more beautiful and more fun than we could have imagined, but it was awesome coming home to see Winnie. She is exhausted from a week at Doggy Daycare, but smothered us with kisses when she got home. Until next trip....
