Becky Bravo's Adventures
This entire day was just spent at sea. We had no port of call. And talk about being lazy. We woke up late again this morning, ate breakfast, then took another nap in our room. We then got up, got on our swim gear, got some more food, and then took yet another nap out by the pool. Yea, I know, our lives are so hard. We ended up finally finding the 21 and over area of the ship which had two extra hot tubs and was much quieter. We spent a lot of the afternoon in this area.
We also took advantage of our last day at the water slide area, so spent more time playing around there.
And finally, we decided our last evening would be our dress up night, so we got dolled up and ate at the fancy restaurant. I have to thank my good friend Chelsea for letting me borrow her very beautiful dress. And I must say, my Jaime looks amazing in a suit! ;)
So all around we had a great time on this vacation. Very stressful at first, but much needed relaxation. It is an odd yet wonderful feeling when you have no place to be.
We did realize however that we both get a little sea sick (nothing motion sickness pills don't help) and that we prefer all-inclusive resorts to cruises. Yes, cruises are wonderful to see a lot of different places at once, but it is stressful to have to worry about being back on the ship on time, and you have to carry your key card with you everywhere. And they charge extra for EVERYTHING!!! We paid a little extra for the soda package (which was not included in the cruise price) and even then we had to wait at the bar, order the soda, and they charge a .14 cent tax on each drink! And they didn't even give you the whole can! Yes, I know it is only .14 cents but come on! At the all-inclusive resorts you don't have to carry around an ID or card, or anything. You can eat, drink, all you want whatever you want, and taxes, tips and everything is already paid for. We were debating on a cruise or a resort for our honeymoon, and I think we will definitely be doing a resort. Or a 21 and over cruise if we can find one. And we do realize how lucky we are that we have the travel experience to have this basis for comparison. ;)
