Becky Bravo's Adventures
We ended up sleeping in until about 10am this morning, which may have been a waste of a morning, but we needed some sleep!
We took advantage of the breakfast buffet (by far our favorite meal every day! LOVE breakfast foods!) and waited to get aboard the boat that had to take us to the dock. Cruise ships are too big to dock in Catalina, so these little boats had to come get small amounts of people at a time to take us to and from the Island.
We got to the Island, and it turned out to be a gorgeous, clear day. We rented a golf cart (at a $20 discount because the worker saw Jaime's Military ID) for a little over 2 hours and drove around a very scenic route of the island. Who knew driving a golf cart could be so fun?!
We bought a cheap lunch at a little grocery store - just sandwiches and chips - and stopped at a beach to relax and eat. It was an overall relaxing and great day. Jaime had been to Catalina once before but this was my first time, so it was super exciting for me!
We had to be back on ship by around 4pm to leave, so we got back to the ship, hung out by the pool, and enjoyed some time in the casino and the pool area. We enjoyed the water slide area the most. We may have been the only adults taking advantage of it, but hey. We can't resist a good water slide. ;)
There was this one game in the casino that really got our attention and we spent a lot of time there. It was one of those machines that has a claw and you move it and drop it to pick up a prize. Usually the prize is a stuffed animal but this machine and MONEY in it! Bundles of $1 bills to equal $100. Jaime WON! We probably spent about $40 bucks trying ($1 per try) but hey, still came out ahead! Now that money is in our wedding fund. ;)
We went to bed at a fairly decent hour because we wanted to ensure we could get a full day in Ensenada.
