Becky Bravo's Adventures
Today is our last day on the ship. ;( At first, I was more excited to get off the ship and just be home, but we watched this slide show last night of pictures from the voyage, and it almost brought me to tears. And I have been hanging out with my friends, and I think it just kind of hit me that now I wont be seeing them everyday. I won't have a roommate anymore. I won't feel nauseous from the rocking anymore. I won't have the not-so-good cafeteria food again after breakfast tomorrow. It's all kinda sad. Really sad actually. There is a graduation ceremony tonight to honor the seniors who are finished, and to end the voyage. I know I will cry at that. Also, there is a last dance tonight, and while I will be a dancing machine as always, it will still be very sad. Until 8 tonight, there is really nothing to do, so I am just chilling, me and my friends are probably going to play some cards. It is all really sad today, but I think tomorrow once we actually pull into port in San Diego I will be crying tears of joy, because I get to see my parents!! And it has been a really long time at sea, I will be thankful just to see land. Last night was a student talent show, and I sang and played the guitar. I played 'No Rain' by Blind Melon. I went first, and I had everybody sing along, it was great. Oh, and how could I forget to tell you about packing. Holy cow. Me and my roomie Mary stayed up 'til like 4 this morning finishing up all our packing. I knew I had a lot of stuff, but let me tell ya, it was so hard to pack. I am so glad I bough extra bags in Vietnam, because I needed every last one of them. We were able to 'check' our big bags (of which I had 4) and then I have several smaller bags that I will be carrying off the ship with me. The checked bags will be carried off by the crew, or somebody, thank goodness, I had no idea how I was going to get all my stuff off the ship. Customs should be a real treat. I just hope they don't unzip all my bags and take everything out, because there is no way any of that stuff is getting back in. It was a miracle that it fit in the first place. Tomorrow night I will be home. It is a crazy feeling. I already have an appointment to get my hair done for Wednesday. (it has been so hard not dying my hair this whole time! but hey, I have rediscovered my natural hair color!) I don't start work back up at the salon until next week, I have to reapply at 24 Hour Fitness, so I don't know when I will start teaching my classes again, I definitely need some time off to just recuperate, and after last night, and most likely tonight, I will need to catch up on SLEEP! The pictures I posted are just random fun ones, there is one of me, K-Lee and Ally with Professor Zimmerman - our favorite professor on the ship. (We were all in her Family class, and I was in her Gender class as well). And there is two pics of me at the talent show, and one of all of us with some very nice glasses we bought in Japan. Well, this is my last blog until I get home, I will definitely write at least one more time and post pics of us arriving in San Diego and of me and my parents! California, here I come!
