Next stop after Byron bay was Surfers Paradise which I loved! The hostel we stayed in was really cool. It had a great pool, was only 100m from the beach and everyone was really really friendly! As it was much better weather here, our very first full day here we ended up getting a surf lesson! It was soooooo good! We all loved it! We all stood on the board quite a few times after all worrying we wouldn't get up even the once. Our instructor was a great teacher. He basically just threw us in the water, gave us a push on our board and shouted us for to get up on the board and it worked! We were all a bit star struck as he has been on 'Im a celebrity, get me out of here (the ausie version), Australia's big brother, has taught some pretty big celebritys to surf including paris hilton, matt damon and keanu Reeves, but best of all he starred in Home & Away for 11 episodes! The rest of the day was spent in our hostel pool playing volleyball, basketball and making human towers with four people! was great fun and got to meet lots of cool people.

We spent one of the days at White water world, which is a big water park. It was really good fun and we picked a good day to do it as it was raining.There were some great rides! after a while we all got a bit cold so spent half an hour under the hand dryers in the toilets! That night we played mini gold with a group of people from the hostel which was very funny!

The rest of our time was spent running on the beach (actually that was just me), chilling out by the pool and chatting to others in our hostel.
