We left KL on the 16th July and flew to Bali via Singapore so we arrived here at about 10pm. After hanging around the airport for ages trying to trace the whereabouts of Becky's bag we eventually got to Kuta and found a place to stay - minus Becky's rucksack!! Spent two nights at the Ayu Beach Inn but the room was a bit expensive so we moved to a cheaper option, the room was pretty basic and had a freezing cold shower but 60000 rupiah (3pounds) was in our price...

The last couple of weeks in Malaysia have been pretty chilled. We started in the Perhentian Islands off the north east coast. We stayed on Palau Kecil (the smaller of the two islands) which was apparently the cheaper one - we're not so sure!! We had 6 nights here on Long Beach, the backpacker area. We had a very basic hut with just a bed, mozzy net and electricity at night. We were paying 35 ringitts a night which is about 5 pounds a night which was pretty ex...

We eventually left Koh Tao (after numerous attempts) and headed to the neighbouring island of Koh Phangan. We had two great weeks in Koh Tao and could have easily stayed longer but we decided that we should see more of Thailand than just Koh tao and Bangkok! We caught the ferry from Koh tao to Thongsalat which is in the south of Koh Phangan, from here we caught a taxi straight to the north of the island to a beach that had been recommended to us called Ao Thong N...

Yet again apologies for the late blog.... we've just been having too much fun!!! So..... we left Luang Prabang on a very turbulent flight to Bangkok and spent a further 6 days on the Khao San Rd. We did the usual Bangkok stuff as before (drinking Chang beer and Sangsom buckets and eating way too much Pad Thai street food). "Sabaidee" from Laos!! We arrived in Laos from Hanoi after an epic 20 hour bus journey.
